This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes uses that are not permitted on Hugin. It is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service. We maintain the AUP as a separate document so we can keep it current as technology, threats, and laws change, without amending the Terms each time. It is written in terms of categories of prohibited conduct, so it applies to new features and uses as Hugin evolves.
"Hugin," the "Service," and "Customer Data" have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
1. General
You may use Hugin only for lawful business purposes and in compliance with the Terms of Service, this AUP, and applicable law. You are responsible for your users' and your connected AI tools' use of Hugin.
2. Prohibited Uses
You must not use Hugin, or allow anyone to use Hugin, to:
Legal and rights violations
- violate any law, regulation, court order, contract, intellectual property right, privacy right, publicity right, or other third-party right;
- connect, ingest, process, retrieve, or distribute data you do not have the right to use, or that you are contractually or legally barred from sharing with a processor or AI tool;
- process special-category, sensitive, regulated, or restricted data (such as health, biometric, genetic, government-ID, children's, or payment-card data) without the rights, notices, consents, and safeguards required by law, and without a separate written agreement where one is required.
Security and integrity
- bypass or attempt to bypass workspace permissions, source scopes, redaction, rate limits, billing controls, entitlement limits, security controls, or technical restrictions;
- probe, scan, penetration-test (without authorization), attack, disrupt, overload, or interfere with Hugin, its subprocessors, or connected sources;
- reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, models, or non-public data except as expressly permitted;
- introduce malware, harmful code, or automated abuse, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, workspace, system, or data;
- circumvent or disable prompt-injection, abuse-prevention, or safety mechanisms.
Abuse and harmful content
- transmit spam, phishing, fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful content;
- use Hugin to generate or distribute content that is illegal, that exploits or endangers minors, that incites violence, or that facilitates unlawful surveillance or discrimination;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent Hugin's outputs, evidence, traces, or capabilities.
AI-specific misuse
- present AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs as human-authored where doing so is deceptive or unlawful;
- rely on Hugin outputs as the sole basis for decisions with legal, financial, medical, employment, safety, credit, housing, insurance, or similarly significant effects on individuals, without qualified human review and any legally required safeguards;
- use Hugin for fully automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on individuals without appropriate human oversight;
- use Hugin to build, train, or benchmark a competing AI model or product, except as expressly permitted in writing.
High-risk environments
- use Hugin in environments where failure could lead to death, personal injury, severe environmental damage, weapons use, critical-infrastructure failure, medical diagnosis or treatment, or emergency response, unless expressly agreed in writing.
Commercial misuse
- resell, sublicense, or provide Hugin as a service bureau to third parties unless expressly permitted in writing;
- exceed, share, or resell plan entitlements, API keys, or consumer credentials in violation of your plan.
3. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for deciding what data to connect and process, configuring scopes, permissions, redaction, and consumer access appropriately, obtaining all required rights and notices, securing your credentials, and reviewing AI outputs before relying on them. If you become aware of prohibited use of your account, you must stop it and notify us.
4. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may remove or restrict content or configurations, throttle, suspend, or terminate access, and report unlawful activity to authorities. We may act immediately where we reasonably believe a violation creates risk to security, the Service, other customers, providers, or the public. We will use reasonable efforts to give notice where appropriate, but are not required to do so before acting on serious or urgent violations. Suspension or termination for AUP violations does not entitle you to a refund.
5. Reporting
To report abuse or a suspected violation, contact fixeonai@gmail.com.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. The updated version is posted with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes may be communicated through the Service or by email.
